The Xerox Phaser 6128MFP was originally built on the mechanism of Phaser 6130 color laser printer, from which it inherited one-pass mechanism with a vertical arrangement of four photoconductors and transfer belt. Phaser 6128MFP is a modern electronic device, meeting the requirements of the latest Energy Star high environmental standards. In particular, plastic drums and metal components are combined in a single printing module that does not require a replacement.
Speed of printing and copying documents in the pilot test did not differ from those manufactured by the manufacturer: up to 12 pages per minute in color and up to 16 pages per minute in monochrome. However, there was a slight decrease in speed when transmitting to print complex documents, such as heavy-combined vector and raster objects or bulky presentations.
For devices like Phaser 6128MFP Xerox uses one of the most modern developments, Toner EA-HG (Emulsion Aggregate High Grade), that is toner with the smallest particles of the same size. Toner EA-HG is obtained through so-called chemical growth of particles that, unlike the toner mechanically produced by crushing particles, can achieve more accurate color reproduction on small details. Another plus of EA-toner is a lower energy cost needed for fixing.
