How You Can Feel and Experience Mystical Love

You are your prison of pain and unhappiness as well as your own limitation to experience pure emotion.

What are 'you'? You know that you have multiple minds that interact with each other. They show up when you have inner conflicts, each view is another mind. Ask yourself this question of 'what are you?' with a mind that knows it does not understand the question let alone the answer.

As long as there is any trace of self thought, meaning any thought about 'you', what you need, want or desire, there is one layer of the veil between you and happiness.

What is happiness? For now let us assume your definition is wrong, that you have no idea what happiness is. The experience of pure emotion is true happiness, but you may not know what that experience is like.

We have now two words that you do not really understand; you or your self and, happiness. You have some idea of what those words mean to you, but your definition is very limited and because of that you can not achieve the understanding of those things to the point in which you can go beyond your individual and therefore limited experience of life.

If you can at least accept that you do not understand those words and that lack of understanding is another veil between your life and the perfect emotional life which is your potential, then we can begin.

About Veils that blind you to your Self and Potential

First we will explain the veils. The veil is as you would think of a veil, a thin cloth that you can see through but not clear. The veil hangs between your personality / ego and your essential nature / Soul, Being and separates your current existence from a life of emotional, spiritual and mental perfection.

The veil between us and our potential is a veil of many layers of cloth. Currently there are so many layers that we can not see through that veil at all. We speak of the veil as one thing when in fact it is many layers of veils all on top of each other. The veil being so thick that we do not even know how many layers it is made of. Each person has of course a different number and thickness of layers which is constantly increasing without conscious effort is made to reduce the veils.

Our work is to eliminate the layers of the veil to allow a clear vision of all things. 'All things' enterprises of both our self and others and the world and nature and basically, all things.

I can not describe to you the feeling of seeing through the veil, of having it removed from your vision. This is an experience that words are far too limited to explain since words are part of the world which is made up of the veils. When the veil is removed, we are no longer limited to the life we are now accustomed to, but can experience emotions of a different nature altogether.

See with new eyes

This experience does not give you psychic powers, it does not guarantee a healthy body or any other promise of change. What changes are your eyes with which you see life. Seeing with these 'new eyes' does change the world and universe, even if you stay the same in appearance and ability. Of course, if you live in a different world, then there must be something that will change in or for you as well.

That is our potential. Tears of joy, tears that are not tears, a swollen heart filled with energy that radiates through the body and beyond. The body swells, but what does it swell with? Whatever that is, it can not exist with any thought of 'me'. The less of me, the more room for whatever that is. And so first we prepare the room, then it comes in, and then it may grow to fill the house, if 'i' do not push it away.

That 'thing' is Mystical Love.

We can now continue with an understanding that there is love that you know of as a human, and there is Mystical Love, which is what is spoken of in the mystical traditions, the love of God, the love of all.

Mystical Love

Mystical love of self has nothing to do with loving your self, or self love or acceptance of your self. That self is on one side of the veil. Mystical love can only be experienced when the veil is removed and clear sight is revealed. Then your Self is seen for what it is, and that is when loving your Self has nothing to do with 'you'.

Do not equate love of your pet, your car, your home, your company or your family to love of God, whatever God may be. This is nothing to do with religion, God is the word used to convey that thing which we may believe is common to all existence that we can not grasp or understand, that smallest particle that gives life.

To love God is to love everyone. But the idea of loving everyone and all things the way you love your companion is unrealistic and impossible. That confusion, or lack of ability to resolve the understanding of what it means to love God stands in the way of our experiencing it. Hopefully this lesson to help you remove one or more veils that hang between you and that experience.

An analogy

Any concept is made up of several veils. Here is an analogy. The veil is one meter thick, there are ten veils that make up that veil, each of ten centimeters thick. Each of those veils has ten more veils that make it up, and so on.

This image tells us that any particular thing that forms a veil has many layers to it and we must remove all layers until we gain clarity of vision. This lesson is working on the veil of self and love. As long as there is a thought of you, then that veil exists. If even for a brief moment you can be without any thought of you, then you have lifted that veil and experienced a glimpse of mystical love.

All training and practices in mystical teachings are towards this end, the eradication of self. The problem with achieving this is the concept of, "How can I eradicate myself?" Then what is there left of me? " It is your rational mind that has this confusion. This question is an illusion, it is not real, it is not even a question that can arise in reality, and it is another layer of the veil. Who is asking the question? 'you'. But 'you' are not complete, you are hidden behind a veil and so separated from 'Your Self'. Therefore this question is incomplete because it comes from only a small part of you, and being incomplete, it is asked in error.

'You' are the veil

Any question that relates to 'you' is part of the veil. Here we come to faith, but not really faith. It sounds like faith is required to proceed but in fact there is no need of faith at all. This is as simple as breathing. You do not need faith to breath, you breath because that is natural. This experience of mystical love is natural.

Blind Faith blinds you

Faith can be blind, and as such it blinds us. If you are blind it is impossible to find your way. Now you are as blind, wandering in the darkness, ignorant of your real nature, your potential. This is not to say that what you are false or does not exist, that is not correct either. What you are real, it is you, nothing about that will change. We are not speaking of killing or destroying or changing what you are. We speak of removing a veil so that you can see. Your inner eye has a thick cataract, you are the surgeon who can remove that cataract from your own eye and then see clearly.

You have learned about self-lying, selfishness and the removal of selfishness. In time, those lessons should have made a deep enough impact on you to see some of your veils.

As you proceed to live more in a manner that is not out of self lying about selfishness, then your veils will be lifted one by one, and you will be able to understand this lesson on a defect level. Even now, you can begin to apply those other thoughts, observations and experiences to this.

Exercise

The exercise is to add to your life some moments in which you stop your mind while doing some task which is due to someone else, for instance washing the dishes after a meal with another person.

When you wash dishes and think of what else you can be doing, or that it is a chore, or any negative thought or thought that understands you, then you are behind a veil. Clean the toilet, do the laundry, but do them for the sake of the other person. Have him or her in your mind as you do this task, only them, no trace of you, put the image of that person in the center of your chest and breath freely, relaxed.

Tense Breath

Our breathing is tense because of our self interests, 'what about me'. When you no longer are part of the image, then you can breathe freely and you will feel this power swelling in your chest and through the limbs of your body, filling you with mystical love which has no object to love, but is to you as your blood.

Mystical love has no object of love. Human love always has an object, the object being that person or thing you love. Human love is related to the things of the world and their relationship to the lover. Being of the world, they, and you, are inherently destined to end, either by historical death or by separation. Human love is limited in its destiny and prone to pain and fear, either consciously or subconsciously.

Living with this type of love alone, and having that thought in the depths of your unconsciousness, it is likely that no matter how much you love, there is a territory that is being held back, it is not 100% pure and free.

Mystical love has nothing to lose. There is no object or person that this love is for, it simply is part of you as your exhalation. Since Mystical love is not dependent on anything or anyone, there is no fear or holding back as no matter how much love there is, there is no possibility of any negative emotion or result that can come from it. Mystical love can be for the same things which you have human love for. It is not the object of the love that has any relevance, rather it is the lover.

When your emotion of love changes from human love to mystical love, then you will understand.
