Perennials, unlike annuals only bloom for a very short period; anywhere from a week to three weeks once a year. Perennial flowers include African lilies, columbines, English daisy, summer daisy and daffodils.

You will need to do some research to learn which garden flowers are perennials and which are annuals so you can have an all round flowering garden.
