Inexpensive Bath Towel Sets With High Ratings

Bath towel sets are a household necessity. Not only do they provide warmth, comfort and the ability to dry our hands, face and bodies, they're great for decorating. Towel sets in vibrant solid colors and decorator prints dress up any bathroom, no matter how plain or uninspired the room starts out.

But like everything else these days, the cost of quality bath towel sets is rising. There are exceptional towels to be found at lower prices, however, for those willing to put in some time and effort to do the research or simply ask the advice of a few friends … or fellow fellow consumers.

Below are some of the less expensive bathroom towels on which people who've bought them have taken the time to give some feedback.

First, there is a three piece towel set from designer Tommy Hilfiger available in the $ 20 range. It's made of cotton terry and the fabric is long staple cotton (ie, like Egyptian, Turkish and Pima cottons) which is more durable than standard cotton as well as more absorbent. It's also reliably heavy weight (600 grams per square inch) and comes in a number of great colors. Since most sets come with two each of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths, it's probably more suitable for a single person. Of course $ 40 is not a terrible price to buy two sets which users describe soft and, as one happy customer put it, "very comfortable on the skin".

A company called Cotton Craft offers a 6-piece set of cotton towels for the sensational price of around $ 25. Although these are standard cotton as opposed to the long-staple variety, they are heavy-weight towels at 650gsm, and so are reasonably durable. They also come in over a dozen different colors which gives a person quite a few decorator options. Most of the reviews you'll find for these towels are pretty positive and describe the towels using words like "luxury" and "absorbent".

For around $ 36, you can get a set of 6 towels from Eco Pure that are of the low-twist variety. This basically means that they're made of standard cotton which is fabricated from yarn that is only loosely twisted. These loose twists allow for better absorbency (think the difference between a wet towel that has been wrung and one that has not). Another advantage of low-twist is that it technically allows better air flow so the towels dry faster. This set is available in just a few colors, and earth tones at that, but they are high quality. People who've bought and reviewed these towels seem generally to concur that these towels are soft and absorbent.

If price is no object, one can find all types of wonderful linens. But for those on a budget, the towels mentioned above are a good starting place (and even fine to just buy and save some time). Of course, it never hurts to read the actual customer reviews, both positive and negative when buying bath towel sets or anything else.
