Your Guide to Disney World Transportation

If you are planning a family vacation to Disney World then you'll be glad to hear that you can leave your car at home and let someone else drive you around. Whatever you¡¯re trying to get from the airport to your Resort hotel, or from there to the themeparks, as a Disney guest you have free access to a variety of transportation options.

1. Magical Express

The Magical Express coach service will transfer you and your luggage from the airport to your Resort hotel and then back again at the end of your vacation. No need to bother renting a car, just climb aboard the coach and watch Disney movies on your way to the resort.

2. Disney bus

The bus service runs from the Resort hotels to the themeparks, water parks and to the Downtown Disney shopping village. Some of the larger Resorts have several bus stops so you do not need to worry about walking far to find one.

Depending on where you are traveling to the transfer time can take anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour so make sure you leave enough time if you are heading to make a dining reservation.

3. Motor launch

If you are staying at the Grand Floridan Resort & Spa, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness Resorts then you can take a motor launch from your Resort to the Magic Kingdom gates.

4. Friendships

The Friendships boats are available for guests staying at the Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club and Swan & Dolphin Resorts. They'll pick you up and take you to either Epcot (the International Gateway entrance) or to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

5. Monorail

Guests staying at the Floridan Resort & Spa, Polynesian and Contemporary Resorts can catch the monorail to the gates of the Magic Kingdom. Changing trains at the Transportation & Ticket Center also allows access to Epcot via the monorail.
