Halo Elites Are Aliens With Attitude

Halo is a videogame franchise created by Bungie and owned and marketed by Mircosoft game Studios. At the time of this writing, there are 5 videogames in the series with one to be released in the Autumn of 2010.

Halo Elites are one of the two founding alien species of the fictional Covenant alliance which is set on destroying humanity because humans are considered an affront to their religion. The Prophets, who rule the Covenant, want humanity destroyed because they found out that humans are actually directly descended from the original Forerunner race, which the Covenant consider as their gods. In an effort to hide this, they proclaim humanity as an insult to their religion and get the other races onboard in a holy war. The Elites, or Sangheili, are the cofounders of the Covenant alliance, which was formed after they lost a war to the Prophets. The Prophet race is not physically intimidating like the Elites, but they had better (Forerunner) technology which enabled them to win. The Elites, a warrior race which admire strong opponents and especially those who can beat them, formed an alliance with the Prophets. The Elites got technology from the Prophets and searched out call and more Forerunner artifacts for the Prophets. In their travels they acquired other alien races which were admitted into and enlarge the original Covenant. At the time of the human-Covenant war, there were several alien races fighting humanity.

The Elites are large muscular aliens. The average Elite is said to be 8'6 "tall. They have a jaw with four hinges and an upper jaw, with four mandibles and sharp pointed teeth. Their planet is within a star system with multiple stars and the planet has several moons, so the tidal forces are great and the weather is strong. Sailing on their planet's seas is very dangerous due to the tidal forces and weather, and those who could sail gained great honor from facing and surviving the danger. "Sangheili society is feudal, with family homes and bloodlines being the main social structure. on the feudal and bloodline structure.

The Elites always adapted the bravery and tenacity of their human foes, and wondered why they were not admitted into the Covenant by their Prophet leaders. The Elites found out about the deception of their Prophets and later abandoned the Covenant and allied with their one time nemesis, the humans. Together the humans and the Elites fight against and overthrow the Prophets.

In addition to appearing in the Halo videogames and other media, specifically books and anime videos, there are several Elite toys on the market. There are various action figures as well as smaller figures for use in Lego style snap together Halo vehicle toys.
