This is the Tranformer game that every Transformer fan has been waiting for. You don’t even need to be a fan of Transformers to appreciate the amount of work into putting it together. The gameplay is more than strong enough to stand on its own legs without the “gimmick” of it being a TF title. Simply put, the graphics and sound are utterly amazing. The Autobots and Decepticons fought a battle of epic proportions that destroyed a planet, before they decided to duke it out on Earth. This is the civil war that started the started it all.
Fight the war for Cybertron. Transformers War for Cybertron, gives you the option to fight for freedom with the Autobots, or be evil with the Decepticons. It will remind you of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The campaigns are pretty long This means that the more you win, the more weapons become available to you.
The attention to detail, by the designers is absolutely amazing. All characters designs and animation are the best in the business. While playing it, you actually feel like a Transformer, as the armor and weaponry effortlessly shifts back and forth. The surroundings are pretty cool to look at. For a robotic world, it something that you have never seen before, as far as animation goes. This is like the Avatar of video games, and I am not even over exaggerating.
In the past you had to hold down your button for a transformation. This was difficult, because you had yo do that while trying to shoot at the same time. Now you can Transform at the push of a button and maintain your transformation until you press the button again. The camera is cool, but sometimes it can get a little awkward at times.
There are plenty of enemies to fight, to keep things fresh enough, but it gets a little annoying at times. Like any game fighting the same people over and over again eventually becomes stale. Fans of the original series will get a kick out of this: Peter Cullen has taken back his role as the voice of Optimus Prime.
